Thank you for checking out That U.K. Gamer, a little and distant corner of the Internet where I get to share my love of video games with the world (and maybe beyond? They could have wi-fi on the International Space Station for all we know…)
This website will be used to show my weird (and hopefully awesome) gaming collection as well as have information on me as a gamer, reactions to gaming news and other weird and wonderful things even I don’t know what they are yet. For now though, a bit of background on me.
I started playing video games at around 1992 when I was 5 years old. My first console was a Sega Master System II with the brilliant Alex Kidd in Miracle World built in. Sega were ahead of the times with digital gaming here…
I made what may have been seen as controversial decision to reject a PlayStation in 1997 for a Nintendo 64. Do I regret it? Not in the slightest, I’ve spent so many fun hours playing playing games such as Ocarina of Time, Goldeneye and Pokemon Stadium, as well as lesser known games like Extreme-G and ISS 64.
I also went handheld and had a yellow GameBoy Pocket, complete with Mario & Yoshi (I think 🤔). I also picked up Pokemon Red and Yellow and a US Pokemon Gold to play on the system. I eventually sold it to one of my best mates and got a GameBoy Color (but that is for another entry).
See you in part 2!
